Questions

Firstly I'd like to apologise to everybody if these questions have been asked before. 1. In a recent game we had two instances of cavalry failing a charge test and routing when at full strength, in one case off the table. Were we correct? 2. Why is there no deduction for loosing casualties in a mora...

Why is there no difference in the rules between troops with plug bayonets and those with socket bayonets?

How long has this been going on?

This may be an odd question but here goes. Some friends and I want to try BLB, we've got 2 armies of 4 battalions, 2 squadrons, a light gun and a general and I'd like to know how long such a game would take. We're all experienced wargamers, 20 years plus, but BLB is a completely new set of rules. I ...

Quote "...evidence must be made..."? Doesn't that say it all?, Making evidence what? Prove what you choose to believe?

Back again, apparently the stuff is called Styrofoam and is actually Extruded polystyrene. The colour doesn't matter, the density is what matters. You want at least 32KG/M3. Extruded polystyrene is the technical name but it's all called styrofoam, like all vacuum cleaners are "Hoovers". Yellow pages...

You might try Sheffield Insulations, they do a wide range of such things. I am sure they have their own website, but I do not know what it is.
You could do worse than www.SheffieldInsulations.com
It seems to work but I can't be messed to check it for content.

According to their websites GMB only do ECW flags. I seem to recall that one of the guys at Flags for the lads is called Graham. They do ACW flags, (v. nice, I have lots). If these are the guys you're thinking of their website is www.gb&sdhobbies@karoo.co.uk. or there are TM Flags, probably the best...

More Bavarian help

I've nearly finished the Danes and I need an opponent. I'm thinking about doing Bavarians about 1700ish for no other reason than they have pretty uniforms. Can someone point me in the direction of a reasonably priced book that will answer, or can someone answer the following questions? 1 Were they s...

So sorry, must disagree. I think that the Noch tufts are far superior to those produced by Silfor. I didn't get tufts, just one tuft that is Araldited to the backing sheet and a b+$$£r to separate, in fact I gave up and consigned it/them to the "the only way to try it is to buy it but never again" b...

H'hm, I based my first battalion as per the book. I found the buggers were so tightly packed that subsequent battallions have a 50mm frontage.
Ah well it would be boring if we all did the same thing.
Anyway they're your toys base 'em how you like I say.

I agree with the "No points" view, but, as a WAB player myself I have never come across the "20 gun Battery Syndrom". Perhaps I have been lucky but in our club non-historical gaming is a no-no. For huge gun batteries you ought to see what the FOW players get up to, a company sized table top force th...

Gazza,
The figures are exceptional and I wish I had your talent.
The only comment I would make is that the 87th. wasn't a light infanty regiment. The only light infantry regiment with green facings, (according to my info), was the 51st.
Sorry to be a pedant,
Dave.

ACW Flags

Gentlemen,
I'm looking for 15mm ACW state flags, specifically U.S. regiments from Tennesse, Kentucky and Missouri.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Danish Generals

Does anybody out there have any idea as to the appearance of Danish General officers of the period? Was there a General officers' uniform or did they wear a glorified version of their regimental uniform?
Thanks in advance,
Dave.
