Re: 10mm WSS

Thank you gentlemen, Simon I would dearly love to do the whole orbat for Blenheim but even at 10mm I may go off my head with sixty figures per Battalion  At the moment I'm concentrating on Cutt's attack and the limited cavalry actions of the first period of the battle. Ray, thanks for the info,...

Re: 10mm WSS

Another two battalions added, this time French 1st and 2nd Battalion Languedoc from the reserve behind Blenhiem village. There is a small guide to how they were painted on my blog http://thenorthumbrianwargamer.blogspot.com/ I'm not at all trying to tell anyone how to suck eggs but someone asked me ...

Re: Carl Vilhelm Drakenhielm uniform

I've got to say this is very interesting, one of the things I have noticed is how well the Dk blue colour of the uniform has been preserved. This could be because it may have been so well looked after in the museum, plus if the young man was only nineteen when he died then possibly the uniform was f...

Re: Signature

My signature derives from the fact that I did use to be a sheep farmer. As you may imagine this was and continues to be a constant source of amusement to the various members of the Border Reivers club  But don't give it out if you can't take it...... I feel a batch of double entandres coming on...

Re: 10mm WSS

Thanks Ray, As to uniform and flag sources, I have access to all of August Kuhn's plates, unfortunately getting them is like finding rocky horse poo. Also I obtained (Heft 16) Hessen-Kassel 1701 - 1714 by Claus-Peter Goldberg & Jean Belaubre copyright 1995. My son speaks fluent German, I'm a Northum...

First blog ever!

Yeh my first go at a blog. For a Luddite like me it's a step into the unknown so if you have a look please be gentle :) Some of the pictures you may have seen on here, but if I keep plugging away at it new ones will appear. If you do then thanks for looking. http://thenorthumbrianwargamer.blogspot.c...

Re: French Dragoons 1704

Not a problem Ray, the more the better. Unfortunately Arthur I had already painted and based Vasse's Dragoons in green jackets and yellow facings, but what's done is done :( Have a look on my other thread under the 'what are you painting' section' for 10mm WSS. I'll soon be adding those dragoon Rgts...
