Re: Basing 28mm Brigade Commanders

While not up to the high standards of most my brigadiers are a single figure on 40mm square base. My divisional commander is 2 figures on a 50mm square base. And if I ever need a bigger command bases it'll be, you guessed it, 3 figures on a 60mm square base :) Apologies for the poor pictures and the...

Re: AUTUMN/WINTER WEEKENDER POSSIBLE DATE

Definetely be interested in another weekender around then. Would need to confirm with the boss and get my contract situation sorted(due to finish at the end of September).

Should be able to get that sorted within the next couple of weeks.

Re: Austrians for R2E

Taking on board the comments/advice and then going for what looks nicest I think I will go for units 36 strong, on 6 bases of 6, 50x40mm. So should be able to get 3 battalions from 2 boxes of victrix plastics. I have ordered 1 box in shakos just to get them painted and see what they look and get an ...

Re: 2O/21 AUGUST 2011 R2E WEEKENDER LUNDIN LINKS

Still coming to terms with the performance of Bill's Italian brigade, hardly a casualty in a full weekends gaming, although the Bermuda Triangle tile had a lot to do with that. Bob The bermuda triangle tile was down to me shooting and chasing away something like 3 cavalry brigades. :) And in the tru...

Austrians for R2E

As the Victrix plastics are now released I've been looking at OOB to get an idea of size, and decided to pick a division used in a small skirmish by the name of Leipzig  2nd Division: Feldmarschal-lieutenant Wimpfen Brigade: Generalmajor Giffing 1/,2/,3/Froon Infantry Regiment (2,457) 1/,2/,3/D...

Re: 2O/21 AUGUST 2011 R2E WEEKENDER LUNDIN LINKS

Awesome weekend, thanks guys had a great time. The ups and downs during the game and the banter was superb. Looking forward to the next one. Battle of Mockern, 3 8x6 tables with action on all of them for most of the time, and it did mirror history, with an Allied win. Unfortunately I was on the Fren...

Re: Austrians in August

Jim, Your French are just sprayed and dipped? Looked impressive. Dave, I have found an 'antique white' spray, was going to give that a try, see if it gives a slightly warmer colour than starting from a grey and highlighting up. I'll no doubt experiment with a few methods. Wish I could paint as well ...

Re: Austrians in August

Decisions decisions. I am 8 figures away from finishing the 6th Division at Salamanca. Now do I start Pakenhams Division(figures and flags already sitting waiting) or do I start on an Austrian division for 1813/14. I really want to see if a white spray and dip will allow super fast painting for thes...

Re: FOW How to Start?

If interested in Italy, then your in luck, as they have started producing supplements for late war Italian theatre. Devil Dogs and Monte Cassino iirc. After buying lots of FoW supplements, I made a decision to only buy the hardback books they release as generally they will release lots of books in s...
