Re: Unit Sizes?

Standard size for units of horse are two stand squadrons and regiments can be one to three squadrons strong... However, Alan is correct - feel free to modify things as you see fit! His solution is a good one. The last version of VWQ I was working with had variable sized units, though it's been a whi...

My Dad Builds Models in 1:1 Scale...

My father (red shirt) rebuilt this Farmall Cub tractor from a rusty, non-working hulk over the course of two years. He sourced as many original parts as possible (an eBay hunt that mirrors my search for 1980's era Citadel models), sanded away rust, repainted everything, and repaired the engine to wo...

Re: Rules question - characters with designated level "cost"

You are correct. Apply the closest unit quality for these type of characters. You shouldn't use a d6 slot to take a Weapon Master for example and then choose another d10 character. If you have ALL d6 units, then you MAY still choose the Weapon Master (but good luck, these kinds of forces are a bit h...

Simply use the ranges as presented. Any range modifier to hit shifts the attacker's die...

Re: Donnybrook in the Low Countries

Very cool! Now you need to go high fantasy - the Renaissance orcs from Foundry (now under Warmonger) would fit in well with your Elizabethan collection...

Orclings d6
Mercenary Orcs d8
Great Orcs d10

They have all manner of characters too...

Anyway, very cool!

Re: VWQ Battle Situation: multi-unit combat

My initial response, especially with VWQ given its obviouse bare-bones presentation, is do what feels right to you. Your solution is a good one. However, I will say that I don't allow charges in column at my table! It doesn't say that in the PDF, but the column is called a march column. The column w...

Re: Question on foot shooting at trotters

Infantry would fire at the actual range to the target... The trotters fire at close range because they ride forward in waves, fire, and then retire. I assume they are only doing this on their card, even though the turn is suppose to represent (mostly) simultaneous action. The problem in doing it the...
