Rob, you DO have sharp eyes... Those Rebs would never have gotten near your lines if you'd been on look out!! It's the glasses and eye reconstruction =P. The mounted model IS Charlet. The dismounted model to his right is the colonel of the 1/55e - placed on ONLY for the Assault (that's the only ins...

Who is the extra mounted Frenchman in photo #2, turn 5, near II/54e?

The caption for Photo #1 identified Colonel Charlet, and the chef d'battalion of I/55e Ligne as the officer vignettes attached to I/55e, so who's the other mounted fellow? Another chef d'battalion?

Much the same problem as the rulebook . . . can't read the text for very long before I get distracted by the pretty pictures!

On Military Matters has it for $48 US.

By the same token, Christopher Duffy's two volumes on the Austrians are also worth a read.

A force set for Austerlitz can also do Eylau and the entire 1806-07 campaign in Poland. Plus, greatcoats and bicorns paint fast!

Brent Nosworthy's Anatomy of Victory covers 1700-1763 rather well.

French battalions of 1200  .. that means companies of 200... is that really true.... establishement strengths were more in the region of 120.. why so big here? thanks That is what Nafziger's orders of battle consistently show, both in the online collection and his excellent The Defense of th...

Robert, whatever size your units are I am almost certain you would not have to add anything like 20 figures per unit. Even if they are currently 12 figures each, adding between 4 and 8 would suffice. It's more a case of moving from a brigade scale game (with 24 figures to a brigade) to a battalion/...

I am also interested in a RtE for 15mm. All of my collection is in 15mm, and while optimized for another system, it's a whole lot easier to add 20 figures to an existing unit than to start from scratch!

Nice to see these Hussars with their eues painted. However I feel that my soldiers will march into battle blind. I fear their eyes may end up looking like the big dude's from the Goonies. I can cope with pretty much everything else though. I'm amazed the eyes look blue, not the usual black dot on w...

I agree on Anatomy of Victory. It's a good read, especially for tactical developments from 1675 to 1725/1730.

How much was it running in the US?
