Re: Clanrickarde's regiment

Nice work Dave. I had fun researching the unit's colours when we demonstrated The Boyne (in full) at the Worlds in 2009 and then Aughrim the following year. It is a cracking standard with the clan badge. We have the unit in red coats though (no evidence but we felt they could be deemed worthy!) Ther...

Re: Vendee 1794, the counter revolution continues.

Hi Dave, Looks great. We played a similar game last night in the group. Always fun to use the dross in a game and you never can tell just what will happen. Love it. Please advise what figures you have used for each of the armies. Many thanks Regards, Tim 'Like a stone wall' wargames group Nottingham...

Vandals

Hi all Thought I would share with you my latest project offerings. This is the initial batch of 25mm Vandals using Old Glory figures from their ancient and Dark Age ranges with some of the usual headswops (mainly replaced with Westwind Late Roman heads). http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/bb401/eug...

Re: Ebor Miniatures mounted unit

El Cid, The flag details as I mentioned earlier are referenced within Grant vol2. He cites the Comte de Clonard's Historia Organica de los armas de Infanteria y Cabelleria Espanola 1856 as his source who described in full their uniforms of 1707 when merging with the Marquis of Valdefuertes' regiment...

Re: Ebor Miniatures mounted unit

Justin Yes I most certainly have seen them. I have been working up the idea of Spanish and Portuguese additions to the range with Nick over the past 6 months or so. Look out for some excellent Spanish Guard and grenadier figures on the way. All of my current Spanish units have made use of the now di...

Ebor Miniatures mounted unit

Hi all With our 'Assault on the Mons Salient 1914' game out of the way I finally got around to completing my initial Ebor Miniatures mounted unit. I have 5 more units of this size lined up next to the painting bench. They are the 'Milan Line Cavalry Regiment' of 1707 in the service of Philip V's Spa...

Re: The strange tale of the missing prize...

Hi Barry Glad you got back okay. Good to speak with you again. That all seems very strange, the boys at Partizan are usually on the ball. I hope you got your freeby Princess Liz figures and coffee vouchers okay? Nice to see it busy again at Newark after last years tumbleweed. It was a pleasure to ha...

Hi all The 'Like a stone wall' wargames group attended the Triples show in Sheffield this weekend. Re: Foundry late C17th range?

Dear Eagleoftheninth et al The publicity material I have states that ‘the Early Marlburian range was designed for use for any European armies of the late 1680s and 1690s as well as for the Marlburian period of the early 1700s.’ The range was: MB1 Infantry command in informal tricorn MB2 Infantry adv...
