Re: Donnybrook AAR #4

Michael,
Very impressive. I really enjoy making terrain for gaming, and that looks superb! Thank you for sharing your progress on the build.

Re: Donnybrook AAR #4

Michael,
What a very good looking game table. Is the church under construction a model or did you add to it to make it look different?

Re: Making Hay

Okay, here's my spoof on how I made my haystacks...could be useful. I use "teddy bear" fur over a spray can cap and covered it with white acrylic caulking. It dries very flexible and then paint. Avoid anything with silicone, that dries hard and subject to chipping. Hope this helps. This is how I rep...

Re: Question about Morale Checks

Gents,
Mmmmm...something to think about. I can recall a few games where my elite type troops were gone quick and the recruit figures were still giving a fight.

Thanks.

Re: Question about Morale Checks

Dave,
That's what we ended up doing; just the group that was affected. Just wanted to get clarification.

Thank you.

Question about Morale Checks

My question is concerning morale check when a group has split up into multiple sub groups. Example: In out last game, the English player split up his 12 Musketeers into 2 six-figure units. Bother were on complete opposite sides of the play area, and really didn't have any line of sight of each other...

Re: Rearguard Action - AAR

Thanks for the kind comments on the game. I was kind of skeptical on the balancing of the forces like the Tangiers contingent; half were mounted. Looking forward to trying out the rest of the scenarios in the book. I want to go back and do the Bridge at Tufik game again. That was our initial learnin...

Clarence,
Ah-ha...there it is, thank you!

I think its popularity may the break from everyone one kinda looking the same to something else. I had just finished up some camel units too.

Rearguard Action - AAR

All, Our crew here in Tucson played our first scenario from the Donnybrook rules booklet the other night; it was the “Rearguard” scenario. Using the formula for composing the forces of 2:1, I upped the recommend number of units from 4:2 to 8:4. The forces were the Tangiers Moors and the English….the...

Re: Russian Grenadier Standards

Bill,
I can only speak to myself, and say "yes", I like placing flags where I can on the gaming table. My current pre-1712 grenadier units have the national colors with them.
