Re: HYW Basing

Darrell, fantastic and inspiring work. Thanks for the compliment :) . Please could you explain a little about the basing. Is this for WAB? Yep. Basically I'm more interested in putting together units that 'look right' than opting for conventional WAB basing. If someone I play complains then so be i...

Yep, I must concur with Bill and Pat, excellent new site. Made all the better by a clearer layout etc.

More visually appealing too :) .

Dave, You're going to have to buckle under or you will have Mr O'Brien to deal with my lad  . If (when  ) you get around to doing some Late Medieval's then I'd be glad to assist you in any way you like (barr painting the little fella's  ). For now though, here's some more (once a...

HYW English UPDATE 2

Hi, Here's a few quick pics of one of the units in my HYW English army that I'm currently preparing for "Havok!" which, as I'm sure most of you will know, is taking place at Gripping Beast HQ in Evesham on March 30th. Apologies for the quality of the pics, but as I said they were taken very quickly ...

The White Company..... and Heraldry.

Hi to all (and seasonal greetings too), A few of our chaps at the club are going to make their first leap into Late Medieval gaming, starting with Late 14th C Condottiere. Now, I have happily managed to have secured Florence (unless Angus changes his mind) so it seems natural for me to go for Mr Haw...

Norse.

Hi, At present I'm working upon expanding my Orkneyinga Vikings (hopefully) in time for Cold Steel at GBHQ on January 13th. I'm really looking forward to this event as we managed to get within two miles of the last one before flooding and the police blocked our way :( . Anyway, here are a few pics f...

I think what the Perry's have planned is commendable. I have never been a fan of the WHFB type plastics but the LotR plastoics looked quite good, although not really my scene. If it means cheaper mini's then this is generally a good thing, yeah? The only worry I have is that the market for plastics ...
