Grenadier or not to Grenadier?

Just wondered if anyone knows if every country in the WSS had grenadiers as part of their battalions. Reason I ask is that I am doing the forces of Hessel Kassel and although there is mention of grenadiers, any drawings are from a later period. I know there is a specific grenadier battalion but wond...

Well spent my money on the Hessen Kassel CD but due the amount of metal I bought have not had time to look at it yet. As I only need two Swabian Cavalry standards for cuirassier? squadrons buying the CD was a very expensive way of doing it. Would it be possible for someone to give me an idea of the ...

Hi, Thanks for the answer. I think at almost £90 I will pass up Robert Halls Book, but I am off to Colours at Newbury this weekend so will do some hunting there as I know that Caliver and Baccus will be there.

Thanks again.

Cuirassiers in combat.

Hi having read the rules I am interested in the reasoning behind giving Cuirassiers more dice in combat. I would have thought that Cuirassiers did not have a greater ability to fight but a better ability to survive. Or is it because they were now confident in surviving that they fought better. I jus...

Making terrain boards

Hope someone can help me here. Having invested a few hundred pounds in figures I thought it was about time I had some nice terrain to fight them over. Now I have a friend who is a wizard at terrain making small scale, but has never attempted terrain boards before. Now he provides the ability to do n...

Hi I did the bases myself. It is this http://www.daler-rowney.com/prod_catalogue/ProductPage.asp?category=17&brand=105&ProductID=1539# it is a big sheet not just the piece you see. It is about 2mm thick and cuts easily with a scaple/craft knife being only card. Costs about £1.75 a sheet. I also cut ...

clapezza if you go to this page you will see what I mean. http://www.leagueofaugsburg.com/fightingtalk/viewtopic.php?t=1419&start=15 All units are still on 3 bases it was just that I wanted to have some representation of the difference. If I think that it would be better for them to have the same fr...

Is it your intention by posting these base sizes on here to announce what the bases in the rules are going to move to or is this just a personnel preference. I have to agree that when basing 28mm figures the base sizes in BLB are a bit on the restricted size. Using Dixon or Foundry is not to much of...

Heneborn to be honest I do not know, all I can suggest is try it. I have found white is best for me. I have for years black undercoated my figures and was starting to find painting the detail on 15mm figures a bit difficult. This has made that a lot easier. I also imagine that it will depend on what...

Yes used the creosote :D on these. I used the strong shade and painted on not dipped. The gun looks a lot better now that I have sprayed it with dull coat. If I had the time it would be about 3-4 hours straight painting and that includes the bases. It is easier for the french foot as less buttons. A...
