Re: Multiplayer Command and Control Questions

Thanks, that's what I was minded towards, though I also like the idea of brigadiers occasionally buggering things up on their own account.

As a subsidiary question - are "Bluff" Orders able to be issued in addition to or as part of the order allocation?

Multiplayer Command and Control Questions

I'm putting together forces for battles set in the Irish campaign and aiming to have around three foot and four cavalry brigades per side. The objective is to be able to put on multi-player games with players commanding as C-in-C and as Brigadiers. Having read through BLB several times I still have ...

1690-91 Irish Lists

Has anyone had a go at producing a general James II Irish Army list or lists along the lines of those in the BLB rulebook for France or Grand Alliance? As yet I'm not looking to directly recreate The Boyne or Aughrim so I'm after a slightly more "generic" list. I'm still fairly new to the period and...

Re: Flag Tutorial

Thanks Günter, much appreciated.
Any thoughts on adding "battle damage"? I'm in two minds about this but tempted as I want my troops to have the on campaign look.

Cheers,

Flag Tutorial

Apologies if I've missed the relevant posts but I was wondering if there was a tutorial for preparing, "animating" and placing flags anywhere?

Thanks,

Re: Is this true?

My Swedish friends seem largely to view him as a bit mad. One told me that it was commonly believed that he'd been killed by disaffected Swedes fed up with constant war. Strindberg described him as: “Sweden’s ruin, the great offender, a ruffian, the rowdies’ idol.” I think it's his absolutist preten...

Storage

I was wondering about how folk stored their figures?
In the past I've used file boxes and magna base generally but the pike armed bases in BLB are causing me to look around for something else. Any suggestions?

Re: Unit Frontage in BTLB

Hi Mark, looking at the orbats as reckoned for The Boyne, for example, the infantry regiments were roughly twice the manpower of a cavalry regiment on average but a cavalry unit would take up more space on the ground than the same number of infantrymen. So it makes sense to have fewer bases in some ...

Re: WARFARE PRIVATE COMMISSIONS - WHAT INTERESTS YOU?

Just to round out things a little, are any more personalities or senior officers likely to appear?

Merry Christmas

Ireland Campaign System?

Has anyone given thought to or perhaps has already worked out a campaign system for the Williamite Wars in Ireland?

It strikes me as ideal material for a block game type system with the option to transfer battles from the board to the tabletop.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
