Re: Wurttenberg Guard standard

Hello Giorgio,

Thanks for the info. Do you know if the Leibregiment had the same title and uniform for the earlier War of the Grand Alliance?

Did the Wurttenbergers fight with the Confederate Army in Flanders under William III or in Italy/Savoy?

A refight in November :!:  8)

I hope to see a big section in the Gallery with lots of pictures and a AAR. Neerwinden is to the LoA what Waterloo is to the Napoleonic period.

Re: The French Regiments in Ireland Post Ireland

IIRC Zurlauben's had two battalions, believe the other French battalions deploy to Ireland as single battalions.

Did they raise more battalions as the Grand Alliance War continued?

VwQ for the Franco-Spanish War / Dutch War

Hello Clarence, I have taken an interest in the campaigns of Conde and Turenne. Rules wise when they faced each other during the 'Spanish' Fronde 1653ish - 1659 (the third and last Fronde and also the end phase of the Franco-Spanish War) just after the period for VwQ. Do you think the rules would wo...

Re: The French Regiments in Ireland Post Ireland

Hello Arthur,

I take it most of these regiments were disbanded after the WSS?

The French Regiments in Ireland Post Ireland

Gents, Does anybody know or have seen any mention of the French Regiments that served in Ireland after their return to France? Did they serve in Flanders or move to Italy, were they retained after the GA/LOA and took part in the WSS or even into the reign of Louis XV? The only one that I have seen i...
