Did they give you a key to the gate or did someone let you out at the end? Assuming they did let you out of course

What's great now is that photobucket has drag and drop, saves all that hunting for the pic you want to use.

Yes markdo, the cash-strapped gamer syndrome, I know it well

My lot are on 40mm wide bases, depths vary from 20mm to 80mm to suit the figures.

Glorious Revolution - on the cheap

Rather than assemble forces for the various disparate elements of the period, I took the easy option and imagined that James didn't leg it. Rather he gathered forces from all corners of his kingdom (Scots, Irish and English contingents) and awaited the arrival of Dutch William. Figures are 10mm Pend...

Re: Presbyterian Chaplin

Confused the devil out of me that did, couldn't figure what Charlie Chaplin had to do with the Cameronians. Finally the penny dropped, it should be 'chaplain'. Indeed the cross most definitely has to go; in fact the plainer (tending toward severe) the paint job the better. Purple would hint at bisho...

Re: Siege of Derry on TV

Not a bad show at all.

Only problem was the usual BBC talking head to whom the terms 'England' and 'Britain' are synonymous, e.g. ..."William and Mary were crowned King and Queen of England..." So much for 1603.

Re: Introductory Reading for WSS

As has been said, it's more or less Corporal John or next to nowt. However, I've found these to be useful: Marlborough as Military Commander , David Chandler, Batsford 1973 & 1979. The Art of Warfare in the Age of Marlborough , David Chandler, Batsford 1976. Weapons and Equipment of the Marlborough ...
