Dear Duke, N.B. Please tell me its sun drenched and blisteringly hot in Oz 8) Not "blisteringly hot" dashing, but a lovely sunny day and 27 degrees C. Not bad for Melbourne in the autumn. I do indeed understand your frustration. Certainly annoys me when I'm trying to give people my money yet the in...

In an ideal world all reasonable requests and enquiries to a miniatures company should be granted some sort of polite response. At Eureka Miniatures it is company policy, and we endeavour to respond to every email or answer phone message that needs an answer - usually well within 24 hours during wee...

Chaps, just took a detour from Stonehaven via Lundin Links to check out the venue with David Imrie. I am delighted to report : 1. Bedrooms - extremely excellent value for money and would probably carry a charge of £90-£120 south of Birmingham 2. Our playing room - VERY large, bright and spacious 3....

Sounds excellent Clarence. I am looking forward to seeing the results. Surely someone will do plastic Chasseurs? I often think the poor old French Chasseurs à Cheval get a bit neglected behind their more glamorous, but less numerous - pelisse wearing/helmet sporting/lance touting - cousins. Failing ...

Yes - it's often been said I do go on a bit...

One other thing in favour of army lists - or at least basic ones. They do at least help beginners / youngsters get started. Just so long as they are made to realise the lists are not meant to be 'The Gospel according to Barry' :D

Barry – I’ve noticed you referring to the success of Lasalle in Australia (in comparison to RtE) a couple of times now. Now I’m not sure what impression Nic Robson has given you (or any other contacts you might have in Oz), but I think I should put a couple of things in context (before you assume th...

Lovely stuff Barry! Breathtaking in fact. As an aside on the quality (or lack there-of) of some British cavalry regiments in Belgium in 1815: a view I've always leaned towards is that while a few, like the Greys and the 1st Dragoon Guards, had almost no combat experience whatsoever - and the "drille...

Sorry Barry - I wasn't trying to cause alarm. :) Just an idle question. One of those unknowns I worry about sometimes - especially as I tend to use a standard hardware store brand. I suppose I was wondering if people with miniatures they painted - say - more than five years ago had any words of warn...

I was wondering - Has anyone had any issues with particular varnish brands (or types) yellowing? Is the W&N stuff mentioned above one of those brands which specifically don't yellow?

Cheers - John
