Could someone ask The Duke of Wellington pls  Hi Barry, I mentioned it to Colin yesterday during a refight of the battle of Koniggratz where the Prussians had another successful day although the Austrians did much better than in real life, although that wouldn't be too hard to achieve. He's q...

Hi Barry, loved the latest pic, like a painting just the sort of evidence we need for Uxbridge to explain how his dragoons could counter charge with the squares in front of him  The poor man was probably traumatised with the loss of so many of his senior commanders that he didn't realise what ...

Re: Samurai- Age of Warfare

Have I missed something? When and why has this happened and has something else been arranged in its place? :? Has Von Blucher felt the need to visit a real Samurai castle to get the correct feel for the model? At least it gives me even longer to try and paint up some figures. Cheers ...

Re: Samurai- Age of Warfare

Timur The game has been 'put back' to be our June 2008 game, so the rules have been 'frozen' at the moment. Details when they are 'thawed out' approx January/February 2008. Have I missed something? When and why has this happened and has something else been arranged in its place? :? Has Von ...

Re: Pirate Game

Given the size of the venue , places may be at a premium so I would appreciate everyone's full commitment to letting me know whether they plan on attending or not. Peter Hi Peter, just to confirm that myself, Colin and Angus will be attending. We mentioned the invitation to Angus last night at the ...

Barry, with all the spectacle and fun of the game I forgot to congratulate you on your rules. For such a massive game it seemed to run very smoothly and the times we did get you across to clarify things was really to keep the speed of the game going, we could have worked out the results for ourselve...

I totally agree Peter, the weekend was superb and a great way to celebrate my birthday. Perahps if we had taken an extra hour or so on the Friday night to layout most if not all the figures might have made a difference to the final outcome but then we would have missed all the fun of Adrian and Wend...

Re: March 2007 date

Tentative date for the 2007 Pirate game is March 17th & 18th at the Heugh Hotel in Stonehaven. Please let me know if this doesn't work for anyone. Peter Peter, I have enough trouble arranging things for a week ahead but as far as I know these dates should be OK for me especially as my wife is off a...

Although pikes began to disappear from the battlefield during the WSS their is evidence that they were still be used in the early years of the war. On the yahoo group Blenheim 2004 there was a interesting discussion that some British battalions still had pikes at Blenheim. I would be interested to ...

Dave, because this game is so big Dale and Peter offered a few extra places when we met at Claymore(I think you were off plundering the Spanish Main at the time). Paul Mclauchlin and Peter McCarroll are two fine chaps from over here in the west who are stepping in to fill some vacant roles. I think...

Peter, I had emailed you and Dale before I went on holiday 4 weeks ago asking whether you wanted to use my 1812 Americans as Dutch/Belgians as the uniform is similar, so far I've received no reply.

Cheers
