Re: More French Revolution and other stuff

You are most kind gentlemen :D Sheepman / Dave - my oldest school friend lives in your neck of the woods (near Hexham). No plans for a trip to Old Blighty at the moment, but I always visit him and his family when I'm over. If I do, I'll give you a heads up - even if it's just a quick visit for a cup...

Re: More scratch building

Those are very nice indeed and pretty much the same type of look (inspired by pictures in the Rapid Fire rule books) that I hope to achieve with my own 20mm WWII buildings - when I get around to them. Not done much scratch building yet, but I'm currently taking a trip down memory lane with some of t...

More French Revolution and other stuff

I have added some more to my fledgling blog - this time a work in progress. I'm half way through a battalion of regular infantry for the French c.1792-93. The 29th Régiment de Ligne, the old Dauphin regiment, to be precise. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8459/7987061894_3670a03a43_z.jpg More details ...

Re: Wolseley’s Enniskillen Regiment

The local "regulars" seem to have started out with a white or strangely light yellow/ buff coat . The "strangely light yellow" shade was common to many 17th Century buff coats (especially the better quality ones) when they were new. It was I think an effect caused by the leather tanning / curing pr...

Re: An imposter! And yet another wargames blog...

Thank you gentlemen - most gratifying! And many thanks for the links and 'follows'. I'm not terribly techie, and I'm slowly working out what all the various bits and bobs can do on a blog and how they interact - if any one has any recommendations or constructive criticisms I will be glad to hear the...

An imposter! And yet another wargames blog...

Greetings one and all. I've just noticed another Duke of Plaza-Toro joined the forum on the 11th August this year! I've no idea who this imposter is (perhaps one of the many illegitimate offspring the Duke is rumoured to have fathered around the flesh pots of Europe) but I'm sure if he ever posts an...
