Front Rank - Late 17th Century Scots wearing bonnets?

Post by Raglan » Fri Nov 11, 2011 6:06 pm

Can anyone tell me what regiments can be depicted using Front Rank Late 17th Century Scots wearing bonnets?

Cheers,

I'm not so sure that any of the Scottish regiments wore the bonnet at this time as "official " headgear. The blue bunnet was a standard undress comfy hat worn by many of the rank and file as an alternative to their issue hats which were pretty ill made and didnt stand up to the rigours of campaign life very well.
I like these front rank figures. Very nice.
