Post by barr7430 » Sun Jul 21, 2013 8:35 am

Although I have been a fairly regular contributor to Wargames Illustrated for a few years I have now begun offering a bi monthly column/opinion piece which goes under the familiar name of.. Fighting Talk
Yup! the forum name has moved into the realms of print. My first piece is in the August edition of the mag. .. no doubt it will touch a cord with at least one of you..................................................
Have you read it yet Mr Wallace

Barry,
Very good written!
Some of the last line are written like you were referring to the Saxon in the GNW
"...Unless surrender is the chosen Option, almost every fight must take place with some small hope of victory in the minds of the combatants."

My question would therefore be: Why they fought against the Swedes still if they didnt beleive that there may be a small chance for a victory...
