PULP-TASTIC!

Post by barr7430 » Sun Feb 24, 2008 11:50 pm

David Imrie and I attended a fantastic PULP afternoon at Pat Connor's today. Pat managed to take us through three games with three different sets of rules on three lovely 2 x 2 feet tables in about 3.5 hours
I call that value for money!!!
Three Musketeers
Some shenanigans on the New York Waterfront with Gangsters and Coppers in prohibition America and..
A weird scenario with an unseen metal robot ,The Shadow and Professor Kroon  ..

I don't think either of us really know what happened but..
The Terrain was terrific
The Figures were phenomenal
The Boards were brilliant
The Rules were Rapidly recognised
And the bacon rolls were Bap-Tastic

Thanks Pat.. a truly wonderful afternoon :D
Pulp figures from Hilton HQ soon.. definitely

By the way.... "I shot the Shadow, but I didn't shoot the deputy...."

Barry, sounds like you are being converted to the dark side of "skirmish" wargaming !

My pleasure, it was a great day. It just proves that size isn't everything :D

Peter,
I think Pat is actually one of his own Pulp characters.... Professor Pat Painter ...exercising his secret power of brainwashing on our hapless clean cut hero(and me as well)
I really did enjoy it and was rather surprised by that.

Part of it is ... I like people telling me what to do in a game it is a lovely change from running games. Kind of relaxing! and of course I think that is what my hobby is supposed to be about

It was a great day! Three different rules for the three games. Pat... I don't know how you managed to umpire this! Barry...the fact you wanted to play the guy who would shoot at the "Shadow" speaks volumes and the maniacal laugh as you shoot the "Shadow "was a little too rehearsed (Much)!!!
I'm away doing a “Three Musketeers” board for the next game.
Great day, well thought out and great company!!!
Thanks again Pat!

Peter, having seen him in action in our Back of Beyond games this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. I think there's a secret side to Mr Hilton that he tries to lock away but I've caught him eyeing up our Aliens 1889, and Cadilacs and Dinosaurs games with a far away look in his eye. Or was that just boredom?

Cheers
Dave
