Distortion on the new pages

Post by Graham Knight » Thu Mar 06, 2008 3:34 pm

I viewed the new pictures today and noted that there appears to be a distortion in the presentation of the Wars of the LEague of Augsburg series when viewed in the new format, accessed through clicking on the WHats New page. Every thing is fine in the old format.

The new pictures eg Mackays giveing fire are much thinner fellows than they ought to be.
Best regards
Graham

Hi Graham, thanks for the observation. I noticed that too but actually I think it is a function of the fact that I am running the two sites across each other just now. If you actaully go into the new site from its proper address this distortion/compression does not occur. You are linking between the two at the moment so the full functionality of the new site is not available when that happens. I am currently going through the very labour intensive ask of loading up new thumbnail and side panes and facing pages which takes a helluva long time.

You were clever to get in and get a look around!!

The web is a wonderful thing and humans naturally inquisitive! I know that of some visitors have found the new site via the old site.. I just wanted to let you all know that switch over is about 7 days away. I am still 'clearing out' and 'reloading'. Once I'm happy with the shape of what's on there... this location will have the lights turned off!

Keep clicking!

Graham,
Are you using IE?

I don't get that problem when using Firefox.

Barry,
The new site looks great. Nicer feel for getting around. One question though: Will we have to re-register for Fighting Talk?

No Charles, no need to re-register. The forum will just switch over. It is currently in a rather unatteactive pale blue and mocca(oooh where did I learn to talk like that  ) but it will all go to one attractive coffee shade when the swtichover happens next week. Also will be able to introduce Ranks.

Thanks for the feedback :D

Barry,

Some questions about the "new site":

Will the URL (web address) be the same as the one we are currently using?

Or will we have to go to a different URL once the change occurs?
