Just managed to sneak on the interweb and noticed the new look. A fantastic job! I also like the new colour of the forum too! Great work Barry! :D

Yep, I must concur with Bill and Pat, excellent new site. Made all the better by a clearer layout etc.

More visually appealing too :) .

Cheers,

Darrell.

Hi,
very nice Barry. I'll have to have a good look at the gallery.

One question. How do you get into the private messages on the forum?

Barry,

I'm still exploring, but so far everything looks good . . . except that BLB isn't yet available of course.

Clarence,

Yes indeed . . . I wonder who the artist might be who created that wonderful image?

(note: Time for you to take a bow, Clarence).

Agreed, very nice. I'm looking forward to the Napoleonic cover. Perhaps something heroic like Prussian hussars chasing down some of the Corsican Ogres finest!

Well Barry,

What can I say? The new site is a marvel, truly excellent work. I do have one complaint though, it kept me up past one last night looking at all the new things!
Ok, I kept me up because I just couldn't stop myself looking at just one more thing.

After being frustrated with all the hints about the new website, and those lucky people who got transported to the new site by acciedent to get an early look (Never happened to me  )

Then clicked on my favorites and nearly fell of me chair as I was transported to the new site.

very very nice although I can see the other half complaining as I trawl through the site reading all the bits and pieces and painting the bedroom falls behind schedule.

Well done Barry very nice

Barry,

While it is now back online, I've been getting an error message for the last 10+ hours:

"BANDWIDTH LIMIT EXCEEDED
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.
Apache/1.3.39 Server at www.leagueofaugsburg.com Port 80"

Now this might just be a problem with the switchover and all of the graphics being uploaded . . . I don't know . . . but here on Vancouver Island we're about 8 hours behind Greenwich . . . and it was around 4 pm our time that I first noticed it out . . . and it is about 3 am (PDT) that I've found LOA back online.

Just so that you know.

Hey Jeff,

We have hopefully sorted out the bandwidth issue, with the new site hosting more pictures and content our bandwith usage has increased a fair bit. Fortunately our web host has now increased the bandwidth and I will continue to monitor it so we have no more down time :o)

Thanks for letting us know

I too hit the bandwidth issue. VERY disappointing for the remote viewer!

Time to start selling the rules to make war pay for war perhaps.

BTW, the picture(s) in the David Imrie pages were distorted when I looked at them at work  using Internet Explorer though they are fine on the iMac at home.

And yes, the site is very nice. Always nice to get a fresh coat of paint applied!
