As far as I am concerned the jury is still out concerning WI ,they seem to have sorted out their photograph quality, which I thought was woeful in the first two issues, but I think I would like a hook rather than a themed issue every month with the odd random article thrown in,something which runs for four or five months and maybe inspires me into a new period.
One thing you did not mention in your article Barry is how few new faces you see at conventions especilly in Scotland,I think that most of the organisers up here could probably just about put a face to everyone they are expecting to turn up.

I suspect that Barry is likely to see a lot of faces at shows in the future, just before their backpacks come crashing down on his head

What rules, so many Napoleonic rules comming out recently, I'm not sure which ones you mean

I was hoping Santa would bringing a copy, but son n heir and the wife not taken the hint.....always the January Sales!!!!

Although not a FOW player, I do have a large collection of 28mm Vietnam stuff and found the articles interesting and well put together. Overall the magazine was high on production and volume and had some good articles depending on your interests.
Personally I still preferred the old style and find I keep going back to my archived issues for reference purposes. I miss the flags and uniform articles and the more quirky stuff. Barry's article this issue was a welcome break.
I'm surprised none of the magazines have a cartoon (Larry Leadhead or something similar). Always good to poke fun at yourselevs and not take this hobby too seriously.

Has anyone come accross an index to the old copies of WI? I purchased the entire set on CD but it is a bit of hit and miss trying to find articles on flags and uniforms for the period covered by BtLB. I did track down Barry's list of articles but could do with an index of the rest.

Regards,

Jim
