Though, given your time constraints and financial constraints as college students, you might want to look into some skirmish games as well. Painting 10-20 figures is faster and cheaper than 100+, after all.
With Gen'l Custer Down in Mexico: Yes, one of the goals is to see how many times one can get him killed.
