Happy Birthday Mr. DOB's!

Post by Friedrich August I. » Mon Nov 18, 2013 6:58 pm

Happy Birthday Dave!

Even as 'Darius' O'Brien seems to be to shy to state is true age the Forum seems to know that today is his Birthday!

Have a Great Day!

Cheers,
Günter

I think you'll find that he's rapidly approaching free bus pass age, he soon get a free tv licence & elderly ladies get up & offer him their seat on a bus.

Happy birthday Methusaleh O'Brien.

The special event I have in mind for Dave would look like so:
He puts all his Russians on the table and has to face the complete Saxon Army. They will all shout a "Happy Birthday" and the present would be a 128 gun Salute

At the moment my Russians only consist of two squadrons of cavalry but I'm sure they would give a good account of themselves in my birthday celebrations.

Happy Birthday Dave

And if you need some Russian cavalry I think I might be able to help!

Thank you Peter, if you have some spare GNW Russian cavalry I'll take them off your hands. I've been having a bit of a painting drought over the last 3 months and haven't painted anything but having dug out my Foundry figures I've become inspired again and rattled off two squadrons over the last two weeks.

Ah the Great Northern War. Alas no, other than a load of Cossacks who seem to cross many periods. I thought you were talking about Russian Napoleonics where my collection now stands at over 300 figures covering 21 regiments plus random Cossacks! Mad, I know but impressive.

Kev and I have been playing ACW recently so that's what I have on the painting table. Foundry figures which are a joy to paint. I might even have a few regiments ready by the time we play our LOGW game next summer.
