Vapnartak Wallet Attack Report! Full of Piccies!

Post by Atheling » Tue Feb 04, 2014 2:42 pm

Hi all,

It's been a long time since I graced the odiferous halls of a wargames show so it was a complete pleasure to be at Vapnartak on Sunday gone. There is an extensive report and a great deal of pics on my blog:

You can read all about my adventure and other exploits here on my Just Add Water Blog:

In order to whet the appetite one feels a few pics as a taster are needed:

Dave,

Is the name blocked by the profanity filter of the forum or why do you write it that way?

I saw a couple of pics of the game posted by someone in a wargames group on facebook. Looked pretty good to me, although the poster said he thought there were too many trees! I resisted the urge to tell him it appeared to be a jungle scenario and I've yet to see one with wide open spaces.

There will shortly be a fashion for baldy jungles... essential in wargaming apprently

No not at all  .... lack of time.... lots of people and places to catch up with, some I haven't I haven't seen for years. I did catch a fleeting glimpse of Barry by the Yom Kippur War game but was unable to catch up with him. I did bump into Colin briefly before Big Jim whisked me away. I didn't manage to spy you Dave, where were you hiding?

Oh, thanks for the kind comments on the rep chaps :)

Unfortunately I couldn't get there as it was my youngest daughter's 21st birthday and we were having a family meal. I've never actually managed to get to the York or Durham shows so hopefully I can rectify that next year.

Dave, it would be great to see you. Likewise, I'll be at Partizan, Salute, Border Reiver, Claymore and maybe Falkirk though i'm not certain of tha latter.
