Switching to Humbrol Matt 33 For Undercoating

Post by Atheling » Sat May 02, 2015 12:10 pm

Hi,

Unsurprisingly, if you've read the title I'm switching to switching to Humbrol Matt 33 For undercoating.

What I wanted to ask was.....

What proportion of Humbrol to White Spirit do you guys and gals favour for undercoating?

Darrell.

Back in the day, I formerly used a 3:1 ratio of Humbrol to white spirit . . . but I've been undercoating with acrylic gesso for the past 7-8 years. Hopefully someone with more recent experience can suggest their 'formula'. :)

Thanks for the reply 8)

That is the 'usual' ratio form what I've heard thus far.... i was posting to see if there was any variation in this?
