Salute 2015 By Increments; Steve Jones AWI Game

Post by Atheling » Fri May 08, 2015 12:55 pm

Watching Steve Jones AWI GCH game was just one of the great pleasures to be taken away from Salute. The attention to detail was astounding with the game was being played by a few old friends from WAB Weekenders in days gone by so it was possibly the best social of games too. Nice to see Paul, Tom and James and my complliments to Mrs Scrivens for the lovely Lemon Cup Cake!!

As my knowledge of the AWI is somewhat below par I asked Steve to write up a run through of his game which can be viewed on my Just Add Water Blog as well as many other pics:

It's worth the read so please do feel free to flit over to my blog and check it out.

Interesting read and a lovely looking game. I love the AWI as it has some real interesting units and uniforms and does not need a tonne of figures to get a good game. Must admit I go for the Perries for their AWI figures as they are superb. Many thanks for posting this. :)

Steve has used a mix of Perry and Foundry in his game and I think that once painted they blend in seemlessly which is not surprising  :)
