Stuart, have a look at this glorious victory by the French over the beastly Bosche.

Dave,

What rules were used in this game? The attention to detail in the scenery is astounding.

Regards,

Jim

Jim we were using the 1870 rules by Bruce Weigle. I had never used them before but they seemed to work OK but I would have preferred to use my simplified Warhammer version which work well for very large battles. Gerry who arranged the game is another Austrian nut like myself and his plan for the future is to do a massive refight of Koniggratz.

Gerry has done a great job of the terrain and we are trying to persuade him to take the game to a show as a display game. I'm sure it would generate lots of interest.

Very nice Dave, even if it is 18mm to short for me

I did have some 10mm 1870 French a few years back and very impressed with the detail, but just couldn't break away from my 28's

Most impressed with Bruce Weigles 2 rule sets, 1870 & 1859 mainly for the information contained in them and look forward to his 1866 set :?:

Cheers

Hi Stuart, this was a 10mm game which is a size I normally don't like and like yourself I am 25/28mm fan and we must arrange with yourself and Aly to finally organise that FPW display game we keep talking about.

Cheers
