My God! Maiwand, The Ghazi Charge Updated 11.07.15

Hi,

I've been working on this for a little while now and although this one features the Afghans at the Battle Maiwand it's the Brits that I have painted and ready but I thought I'd try it out with a few Foundry Afghans first. For anyone who isn't familiar with the battle, the 66th Regiment of Foot was just about wiped out trying to save the colours in what turned into a terrible rout only to be avenged later by General Roberts at the Battle of Kandahar.

Anyway, I digress...

The first pic is of the 'diorama' of the Afghan Ghazi Charge and the rest are tasters of many more Afghans that you can see on my Shooting Leave Blog here:

Please Note: the banner is not finished as of yet, it needs some Pashtun script adding. If anyone has any ideas then please don't hesitate to post here as I'm desperate to finish the banner off before I gloss it and then matt is done; like the rest of the mini's(?)
