Gentlemen,

I'm just beginning to start with the ECW period . . . so what I am most interested in is SMALL scenarios -- not large battles -- I'm even considering using the Sash & Saber 40mm figures.

Given this, which of the three (soon to be four, I guess) Partizan Press Gaming Scenario volumes would be the best choice for me? (I only want one to start with)

Jeff,

I'd go for the first volume - by Steve Maggs, The others are excellent, but complex and need a lot of terrain and buildings. Vol 12 can be used with nothing other than felt on the table.
However if you have access to 16/17thC buildings, and an exceptional amount of terrain - you just go for it in Vols 2, and 3. I have just bought the 4th Vol - Seige Work - wonderful -but not for newbies like me. I am working on it though!

Best Wishes
Bill

Bill,

Thank you very much, sir. That is the sort of information that I needed.

Jeff,

I forgot to mention that Vol 1 has some useful information on uniforms, and some cracking flags for several scales in colour for copying. Well worth it!
