Big Jim's Medieval Menagerie- Very Long

Post by Atheling » Mon Mar 12, 2012 11:55 am

Hi,

On Sunday gone I had the pleasure of playing in a giant Medieval game using WAB II. although there certainly was no historical precedent for the battle, in fact it was a warm up for Havok! at Gripping Beast HQ, it was tremendous fun and played in the gentlemanly fashion that we have been used to at Jim's for many a year.

I've been out of wargaming for over half a year due to illness but it seems like I'm back now, probably not in the full swing of things, but certainly enjoying my wargaming again and that counts for a lot in my book!!

Below you will find the pics of the game, which featured the Holy Roman Empire and Eastern Russian States battling against the Teutonic Order and the Hungarians!

Yes thanks, certainly brightened up a rainy morning here in Central California.

Unfortunately it also decidedly stoked the embers of my long-deferred late 13th, early 14th century aspirations...

Cheers,

Michael

Thanks for all the positive remarks guys 8) .

The game was actually a warm up for Havok! which is a WAB Medieval (AoC) based day long event in Evesham at Gripping Beast HQ. This weekend in fact so as long as I remember my camera I should have some nice piccies to show off come Monday/Tuesday.

Some great looking units painted there Darrell just reminds me what a colourful period Medieval is. I've not had my medieval armies out on a table for years it's about time they made a re-appearance.
