OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Hey those guys look very familiar, I have the same unit but in 25mm. Nice looking group. Keep up the good work.

Really liking this army Ray. Great painting. Shame it's not 28mm as I'm not that far from you

The Royal Grammont Dragoons. Another unit complete for the NYW French army!!!
I had to stop myself painting this unit up in the earlier colours of a yellow coat with blue cuffs, maybe I might try that one in 25mm??

Ray,
Nice as always. What is your goal for how many more dragoons to paint up?
Hey have to tell you about your signature block saying; I started to get the wife hooked into the Sharpe series. The other night watching the first episode, "Sharpe's Rifles", when one of the riflemen was to say a few words when they buried the captain...I started to chuckle and she looked over, and I told here that was your signature block deal...classic!!!

Cheers chaps, the French are coming along a treat, I've 2 more Dragoons left to paint, which makes 5 units........I think?? But I have spare dis-mounted so I'm gonna paint them up on their own as separate units.

I'd watched that episode a week or 2 before I signed up here and me and my work pal kept using it all the time. I thought it was pretty apt!!

Ray,
time for a blog entry on the LOA Blog if you have the time. You seem to have the 15mm dimension sewn up.... are you up for it... feature on your armies? French and other(s)?
