OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Dear Friends,
There has been some other stuff going on that kept me from posting on this thread here but after all I managed to order new Miniatures from Steve Barber and, after receiving them on Friday, I glued them together within an hour and placed them on my Desk. Those Miniatures are the Krupp C61/64 4pdr or 8cm Guns and Crews. Out of financial reasons we have currently only have made a firing Gun Crew but it will be supplemented with a loading/moving Gun crew as well in the near future. I ordered 2 Batteries to start with.
WIP so more pictures to follow.
Cheers,
Günter

After those problems with Photobucket and the change to Flickr I have started to replace those "Placeholders" with the pictures again. Some replacements are pure guessing

Today is August 18th, 2021.
A good day to pick up where I, reluctantly, left this Thread (and with it all my Hopes ever to be able to continue).
Today is the 151 Anniversary of the Battle of St.Privat la Montagne/Gravelotte. The most glorious Day for the Royal Saxon Army. Their Contribution to the Battle 'snatched a Victory from the Jaws of Defeat'.
Without the XII Royal Saxon Army Corps the Prussian Guard Corps would have died and suffered in Vain while trying to reach the Defensive Lines of Marechal Canrobert's VI. French Corps.

One year Later..the 152th anniversary is close.
I had to make a difficult decission.
As the Dimension of the Task to go on with this Project goes way over my Head I have to decided to ...
Shrink it. No. I will still do the complete XII. Royal Saxon army Corps, 2nd Army, but in a smaller Scale.
I had a long struggle beween 15mm and 10 mm but after receiving the Rule Sets 1870 and 1871 today I made my mind up to start over in 10mm PENDRAKEN. Financial Problems aside it is the Space of which I have run out.
https://www.pendraken.co.uk/186070s-prussian-642-c.asp
Eventually, when I have retired - in 10 or so Years - I may continue with the 28mm FPW. But not now.

My old eyes would struggle with 10mm figures which is probably why I am enjoying painting 40mm SYW figures for my grandsons using Prince August Mould figures.
