OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Hi,
had the camera out for some other pics and thought I'd snap some of these as well.
They are a small collection of Greek figures that I painted up for my son as part of a school project. Didn't spend a great amount of time on them as I wasn't sure if they would make it back from school.
As usual all comments, good or bad, welcome.

Great paintjobs for a quick job. Makes me wonder. The guy in the middle is thinking of what to paint his shield:
"Hmm, bird? Gorgon head? Greek Letter?"
and then his wife walks it
"Why don't you paint an image of that vase my mother gave us for our honeymoon."
"That ugly thing?"
"Yes, that ugly thing. She'll think you're an ingrate, now paint the vase and come to bed."
"I'm not tired."
"Neither am I."
"Ok, bowl, stem, handles, squiggly line underneath for the lace tablecloth, done! Fastest shield paintjob ever!"

Forget the bronze, I'm more interested in how he got that nice brown tunic!
