Start of a new project.

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Ray,

I have confirmed for that weekend and would, if you were going, look forward very much to meeting you.

Ray,

I must admit I have never seen such beautiful looking targets I mean models.

Ray,

!Damnit man, those look good. I will of course look forward to giving them a hearty "French" welcome and, since they are Allied cavalry, pay the utmost respect to their preferred manoeuvre and only attempt to take them in the rear.

See you soon,

Jim

PS: I am in the process of painting up a Front Rank Davout figure to serve as my command piece. Unfortunately, the little fellow does look the splitting image of me complete with bald head and glasses.

Ray,

I have to tell you, they look splendid :!: Even as an enemy, of course.
The officer is a dream of details. Be proud of them as long as they face in the right direction :D
And if they turn tails and do Jim a favour tell yourself that they run to fight another day.

Cheers

Günter

Ray,

We should actually request that I get Durutte's division and you have the extreme left of the Allied line otherwise all this good natured banter will go to waste.

Ray,

I'm travelling up with Barry who, when he heard that I was intending to come by public transport, very graciously offered to give me a lift. I will be there on the Friday night pretty early I should imagine.

Regards,

Jim

Chaps,

just took a detour from Stonehaven via Lundin Links to check out the venue with David Imrie.
I am delighted to report :

1. Bedrooms - extremely excellent value for money and would probably carry a charge of £90-£120 south of Birmingham
2. Our playing room - VERY large, bright and spacious
3. Car parking - great
4. Menu - very mouth watering and restaurant -pleasant conservatory style
5. Staff - super friendly and helpful..

It's gonna be a good 'un! :D
