Here come the Cavalry.

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

What source did you use for the coloring of the saddlecloth? The Robert Hall plate I have shows it trimmed in white. To be honest I like the look of what you have here much better.

Yes very pretty, but can they fight?

That's a really nice shade of brown on the horses. Can't wait umtil BtLB II comes out so we can get my Irish up against them. They've got really long pikes.

These are really nice Ray, as we've come to expect! Wish my own troops would look as nice! 8)

But is it just me that thinks the reins looks a bit odd, isn't it possible to bend them a bit perhaps?

With some of my Front Rank reins I have chopped them back (and reshaped the end in case I am accused of being a complete barbarian  ) so they don't stand out/up so much.

This quote :?: You weren't the great tyrant in the Classic 60's film "Barbarella" were you, probs before your time.
Seeing as how I was -13 or -14 at the time (depending on when exactly in 1968 it was filmed), I'd say that would be an Oscar-worthy performance, wouldn't you?

Any chance of getting hints and advice on the reds and especially the yellows used? I loathe the choices in my palate for yellow, and am always on the look-out for new ones.
