OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

As some visitors to the site are aware, Barry, (Toggy) Bob and myself are running The Derby Weekenders next year - the first one in March 2012 is our Napoleonic 1813 Weekender.
With this in mind I've started to do some 'touch ups' to my Prussian figures that one of the Weekender attendees will be using....
The first touch up I've done is to add some 'tracer reins' to my Prussian Horse Artillery - it was more 'fiddley' than you think.....however I am pleased with the result!
I'll post more photos of my 'touch ups' between now and the March Weekender as well as photos of the new buildings and terrain features I'm doing specifically for the game.

Lovely stuff Ade!
I'm looking forward to seeing more but if you hadn't sold off all those other figures you would have less to do.
Cheers
Dave

Guys
Thanks for your kind comments.......
Ray...the figures are Calpe.
Dave....yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing - but I'm sure the Prussians I sold last year are doing sterling service 'Down Under' - which is where they were shipped to...!

That's a cracking limber team and gun, Ade!
I will look forward to seeing it 'in the flesh' in March!

Most excellent ... and topical. I pulled out a Calpe 6lb Foot battery limber over the weekend and loaded it up with a couple of limber riders and the marching gunners set. Sadly all siver looking unlike this master class!

Looks very nice Ade, of course whenever we've played I've only ever seen the back of it as it disappears of the table!!!

Bob
That may be true......but I would like to think of it as a cunning outflanking manoeuvre.......!!!!
These gallant boys will have a new commander at Derby........we'll see what they can do...................
