2nd SS "Das Reich" for Flames of War

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

2nd SS "Das Reich" for Flames of War

Post by Gary » Sat Mar 31, 2012 8:43 pm

I am not a WW2 gamer (one game in a decade perhaps), but the Stafford Gamers are doing a Flames Of War version 3 league, so thought I would maybe join in.

I do not like the little infantry bases featured in the rules, so went with tanks for my "1500pts". I may get used to the bases in future and will need to if I want Panzer Grenadiers, etc!!!

I had a trio of Battlefront Panzer IV's, but the remainder of my two tank companies are from The Plastic Soldier Company's Panzer IV and Panther boxes - highly recommended, simple to build kits.

I have dropped some photos onto my blog for anyone interested:-
