Almansa 1707 Spanish Foot Regt.

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Almansa 1707 Spanish Foot Regt.

Post by chema1986 » Sun Feb 23, 2014 2:10 pm

Hello There, this is a Spanish foot regt. This are the first Front Rank minis i painted, i was delighted by the level of detail and ease to paint. This unit was painted before i chose to switch period from Marlburian to Williamite. By 1707, the Flags were being standarised , so this flag would be replaced just after the battle or even before.
Could i use this WSS regiment as a Tercio for the 1688-1697 war (obviously the latter part of the conflict) ??

I'm really enjoying seeing all these Spanish units. Superbly painted too!

I certainly wouldn't complain at you using such lovely painted figures in the earlier period.
