Wars of the Roses

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Wars of the Roses

Post by Tellus » Thu Feb 07, 2019 8:07 pm

Last year I 've started an Lancastrian Army for DBA 3.0 - though never thought I would dip into that period....
...but with all that nice plastic figures "flying" around these days and since I've painted up an Republican Roman Army made up mostly of Victrix plastics, which convinced me that plastic figures are an option nowadays, I'm on the wagon, too.

But after having bought a couple of Perry WotR Plastic Boxes, I first painted some metals. :D

Those fellows represent a Welsh Pike element, although they are Scots from
Claymores formerly Otterburn Range - now with Antediluvian Miniatures.

...they are just called Pikes, but are more some kind of militia style hill tribe levies.

And of course one needs a Barker Marker
