Battery Equipment Area Inquiry

Barry,
Was it by design or mere coincidence that your Battery Equipment area bases are multi-use? I mean it looks like in BLB2 rule booklet that your equipment area if turned the long ways will fit behind a Positional Gun stand and if turned the short way it could fit behind a light gun stand.
