BUA and morale checks

My apologies if this question has been fielded before. I've searched but can't find any reference to it on this forum.

When a garrison has taken casualties from artillery fire or shooting during a turn (not pre-game bombardment) and has to take a morale check for such, would I be right in assuming that the modifiers for support and isolation apply. The only reference that I can find in the rules are on page 63,
"Positive and negative modifiers for support are ignored during assaults."
And the 'Assault Morale Modifiers' (page 62) would not apply in this situation.

I looked hard at the morale section, but I fear that I have just become word blind now.

This came up while I was trying out the assault rules by myself in the cellar in preparation for co-umpiring a Boyne game at Broadside with Ray (of Rejects fame!!).

Many thanks in anticipation

Richard

Ignore the support/isolation modifiers for any check of a unit in a BuA. They are considered 'self contained'

cheers

Thanks Barry, that does seem to be the logical approach but it's nice to have your clarification.
