Cavalry units size question

would it make any difference to the game to increase the size of a cavalry unit from the two bases to three bases ?, not happy with the two base look

any advice or help appreciated

It would make it more difficult to fit cavalry vs infantry charges. Also cavalry might be a bit too resilient .
We actually play with 12 figure infantry units ( we count them as 18 strong)
Same width as 2 cavalry bases.

If is only for the purposes of aesthetics then it wouldn't make any difference. In close combat all models fight anyway so there is no advantage/disadvantage. Relative to the size of Foot units it may look a bit imbalanced but not overly so.

Where it definitely would not work is if you count the 9 models as 9 models. It then throws out the combat system totally. if you count the 9 models as 6(extravagant but sounds like something I myself would do!) it is a reverse of Jim and the Dumfries lads counting 12 models as 18. That would work but you may be left broken hearted after a close combat in which a 9 model(6 models for rules purposes) squadron is annihilated in a single turn of combat!
