By way of an explanation

Post by barr7430 » Sat Mar 14, 2020 6:05 pm

I thought an explanation of my frequent absences from these boards was due. I am alive, well and kicking :)

My occasional visits are simply due to..

I have Warfare Miniatures to run (as a part time business), I am currently writing a book for Helion and another scenario book to accompany The War of Three Kings. I am also writing for Wargames Illustrated pretty much on a monthly basis. I am trying to paint a backlog of new releases for Warfare Miniatures. I also try and blog every two or three days with new material. I have just completed writing a set of 17th century naval rules. Clarence and I are putting the finishing touches to three new pdfs. I have also nearly finished 35,000 words on the Jacobite infantry between 1688 and 1692. I have been trying to play as many naval games as possible and paint (130 now) 1/2400 ships.

The rest of the time, I run a company in England with 30 employees...

writing this has just given me a headache... what a t*t I am....

Really looking forward to you 17C Naval rules. Inspired to watch Captain Blood.....again. Are you ever going to get around to posting the final part of Whisky in the Jar on your blog? I’m sure i’m Not the only one interested to find out if Sarsfield and Galloping Hogan made their getaway.🙂

Barry,

I have a R2E question, have you made a YouTube video about R2E and how a game turn will look? I've searched the intertubes but not found anything and I'd like to be able to point gamers in our group to something like that so they can get a feel for how the rules work and what to expect or not expect as the case may be.

Thanks.
Greg
