Seldom, if ever have we been noisier
But oh what fun we had
My memorable moments:
1. Paul's Alexandria Hussars traversing 10 feet of table surviving 2? 3? charges, taking out a regiment of Austrian Hussars, Whacking a Saxon Battery and doing the gunners then getting upgraded to GUARD level for their Brigadier catching bullets with his teeth
2. Billy 'Du Bois' Woods - more lives than a cattery of cats the General of Saxon Hussars (so maybe it should be Wilhelm Wald)
.. the charge that braved a Russian Horse battery and fought to the last 20 Hussars ( 1 model)
3. Watching the Russian player's faces as the entire centre 'jogged on' back towards Moscow.
4. Jim's heartfelt cries for can I have some points please from Toggy von Schwarzenburg.. I think there was a wee sweary word in there..
5. Alan Cuggy's face when he failed to score ony 6s on his DAverage fistful of dice.. :roll
And Gunter, if you read this... the SAXONS took the heat of the Russian guns, muskets and sabres only for the Johnny Come Lately Austrians to FAIL to take advantage of all that spilled Saxon Blood!.......
Great game.. very exciting... who says Napoleonics are no fun without the French
