Actually, Darrell, that makes you a perfect candidate to be the Commander in Chief of one side and order about the drudges who painted all those aggravating crossbelts and piping!

Also depending on date and location, I would be interested. I have a small number of Russians, and units of British and French cavalry to potentially contribute to OOB filling . . . 8)

I'm at the planning a trip to UK stage so would love the opportunity to attend if possible.

I would struggle to bring figures though - my figs are 15mm, I'd be fearfull of breakage and would never be able to get under the baggage allowance enabling me to bring - lead back to NZ plus i only have 1 Eureka French revoloutionary battalion to date in 28mm

Not with my tactical skills!

Still, would be nice to paint up a small force for a weekender.

Cheers,

Darrell.

OK, so there is actually a chance we'll be able to get one of these going a bit quicker than I thought!

If we get enough interest it is possible that we'll run an R2E game on 17/18 April in the Lundin Links Hotel, Lundin Links (by Leven for anyone unfamiliar with the place), Fife.

It will be residential. There will be a package price including food, accommodation, the two day gaming experience, troops provided, the rules and associated gear (if you don't have them).

The scenario will be part of The Battle of Waterloo. Places will be limited.

The game will be umpired and there will be prizes for the Victors!

Hi Barry
just sent you an e-mail regarding the weekender all seems very exciting.
Hopefully enough guys can make it so that we can experience that LoA display game feel & also play a great set of rules.
Cheers Bob

1st R2E Weekender.

Post by Churchill » Sun Feb 14, 2010 11:08 pm

Barry,

Thanks for all the info. on the 1st R2E Weekender, I'll be booking a room tomorrow for the Friday & Saturday nights.
I will also post a cheque in the next few days as payment for the game.
Can I purchase a set of rules before hand for the reduced cost of £20 or is this a one off price at the day of the game :?:
Looking forward to meeting everyone and crossing sword's.
Choosing to be on the side of the Allie's I hope we can give "Old Boney" a bloody nose.

Kind Regards.......Ray.
