For those who are getting fed up seeing my Waterloo game we are doing something different at the May Partizan.
We are using Adrain's terrain and running the Battle of Vauchamp 1814 on a 12 x 6 table. Marmont against the Prussians during the final battle for France.

We'll deploy around 1200 figures and if anyone wants to throw some R2E dice in anger.. come along!

Not sure if I'll be at Partizan Barry but I would be very interested to see your Prussian OOB to see how you manage organizing and allocating commanders to Prussian brigades (roughly equivalent to divisions in other armies) and their sub-units (no proper name for these but roughly equivalent to brigades in other armies).

This is something I've been giving a lot of thought since seeing you at Salute and buying the rules. So far, I've done three "thinking out loud" posts about this on my blog and I've probably got a couple more to go:

Any observations would be welcomed!

Barry - if I can make it up there I would be interested in having a go, so what is your plan for participation - is it formal, pre sign up, all day, or is it more drop in and out - turn up, say Hi and try to play for a while?

Thanks

Well Barry, if you are tired of Waterloo, how about terrain boards for Austerlitz?

I would love to see how you would tackle that project.

Marc... I am not that formal!
I don't want to tie people to the table when they can see so many beautiful games and spend all their pennies
You can stay and throw dice at my wee men as long as it holds your interest!..

Alte Fritz... hmm.. Austerlitz...... a thought indeed

Barry,

I knew you couldn't move to far from 1815
Don't tell me, your going to return to 1815 at Sept Partizan

But which ever game, it will be great to see you again

A force set for Austerlitz can also do Eylau and the entire 1806-07 campaign in Poland. Plus, greatcoats and bicorns paint fast!
