15mm Cheet sheets

Post by wkeyser » Mon Mar 14, 2011 8:33 pm

Well about half way done on redoing the cheet sheets. First redone the lay out so that it follows the turn sequence, I hate flipping back and forward on the cheet. Second changed all the distances to inches for 15mm figures. Our figures are based 4x2 on a 4cm frontage so about 1cm per figure. It works out to be about 1 inch is about 20Meters.

I have done a pdf with the first part so any one that would like to take a look send me an email. wkeyser at aol dot com.

A few other things i have changed some of the order that troops type and commanders are in. So Best top of list, best troops on the left of the table etc.

As in the order of the Brigade order table now the first is the best etc.

Moved the Retreat, Rout to the bottom of the table and did in red so easy to find.

Need to do that in the Single unit table!

If you get a copy let me know what you think and if you see any mistakes.

William,

happy to uploiad a pdf of your work as a download in the WARCHEST and credit you fully for that. Obviously the WARCHEST is a free resource for gamers who like what is going on in the LoA site. Let me know, send the docs and I will do the convert to pdf if you like.

Best and thanks

Thanks Barry
Already in pdf I am using Adobe indesign for the layout. I have a partial and it would be nice to put it up in the Warchest so people could comment.

What email do I send it to you. I will try the one on the home page.
Thanks

Hi all
Finished the rough draft of the cheet sheet book. Sent it to Barry Tuesday to put up in the Warchest, but he has not gotten around to that yet. So any one intrested in a copy let me know. I am looking for some feed back in the lay out and if I missed any thing.

I arrange the sheets in the order of play so you flip through the booklet (12pages) you move through the turn sequence. Have color coded the title bar of the tables so you can quickly get to what you are looking for.

I have also moved around some of the info within the tables. So now the top or left hand entry will be the best (unit training, command quality et) to the worst. Same goes with the sheet with the MP costs now the top one is for the Intuitive brigade and the bottom one is the sluggish commander.

Have also moved some of the dice modifers so that for instance the training is all together, than terrain than % mods.

And most importatnly changed all the movement to the ground scale that matches our 15mm figs, it is roughtly one inch is 20 meters.

William, Barry is currently away on his travels again so I'm not sure if he upload items from where he is.

William

When you are done are you interested in developing a 10mm version? What I can see at the moment is to just change the 28mm distances from inches to millimetres.

Happy to give you a hand if you need it.

Hi That would be easy, tell me how you base your figures. About 480 men in three ranks took up about 100 meters. So i need to know who much space 24 figures with your basing takes up. That will tell me what 100 meters is based the way you have your figures based.

I went off Barry's recommendation of approx 1mm = 1 yard.

I have based 6 Infantry in 25 x 15mm
4 Cavalry is 40 x 20mm
Artillery is 25 x 30mm

Yes

Two rows of three. I could have fitted two rows of four but liked a bit more room.

Hi Karim
So that is 4 bases is a hundred meters so that is works out to be 10cm is one hundred meters as per Barrys recomendations. I will see if I do a cheet sheet with mesurments in cm.

Do you have Adobe indesign, if you do I can send you the file and you can just change the distances your self.
