basing napoleonic french imperial guard

Post by turrabear » Wed Aug 07, 2019 8:04 pm

quick question gents if you don,t mind
I use republic to empire for my napoleonics I base my French line on 6x6 figures bases
the French imperial guard had only 4 companies compared to the lines 6 .but the companies were larger.
should I use 4x6 figures bases or 4x8 figures bases
I currently use 45mmx45mm bases for my line regiments but if I went for 32 figures for the guard I would have to use 60mm x60mm would that be acceptable.
many thanks in advance.

Basing is never a Problem with RtE-Rules.

My Saxons are, on Paper, 4 Companies of 210men each. For astethic reasons and and to show some Campaign Consumption I made them on 6 Bases of 6 figures each. You may still use them if they are at 800+ strength, just take notes and there you go.

base size should not matter at all Turrabear with Republic to Empire. Make them lkook exactly as you want to.
