VwQ for the Franco-Spanish War / Dutch War

Post by Captain of Dragoons » Thu Aug 15, 2013 11:05 pm

Hello Clarence,

I have taken an interest in the campaigns of Conde and Turenne. Rules wise when they faced each other during the 'Spanish' Fronde 1653ish - 1659 (the third and last Fronde and also the end phase of the Franco-Spanish War) just after the period for VwQ. Do you think the rules would work for Conde and Turenne facing each other across the Dunes?

cheers
Edward

I'm probably not the one to ask as I'm not really familiar with that theater. If the arms and tactics are reasonably similar to the ECW, I'd say yes. The rules are obviously incomplete although I have been working on updating and expanding them for publication one of these days. The core should work fine but you may find yourself having to fill in some blanks!
