Lining colours

Post by Saxon Warrior » Sun Feb 01, 2009 1:05 am

In my sole reference for the WSS Danish Army, one of the cavalry units is listed as having filamot linings.
Can anybody tell me what colour is filamot? I've 'Googled' it but with no useful result and our dictionary is unaware of the existence of this word. Does anybody know?
Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Filamot is a corruption of feuille mort which is French for dead leaf.

Filamot is a mid brown colour

hope this helps 8)

Thank you very much. Looking out of our window now the dead leaves are white, but I'm sure that's not what you meant

I'm also looking up the uniform details for 3rd Jyske Regiment (3rd Jutland) and googled up this response. Mid brown it is!
